Dementia and Driving Module

Dementia and Driving Module

The online Dementia and Driving Education Module is a freely available 3-hour self-led interactive course for health professionals. It was developed with the support of Catalyst Foundation. Members of the ADHERe team are available to deliver this course as a bespoke workshop for your organisation. The course has been delivered face to face to 281 healthcare professionals across Australia, including over 100 general practitioners.

To determine the effectiveness of the course a single group pretest-posttest survey design was used to measure changes in outcome measures of self-reported knowledge, confidence, and competence.

The findings of the study can be found here: Evaluation of an education intervention for Australian health practitioners to support people with dementia with driving decisions: A pretest-posttest survey.
